The Organization Behind the Gate River Run

JTC RUNNING

Building a stronger running community in Northeast Florida since 1975.

Our Story

A Legacy of Running in Jacksonville

For more than 50 years, JTC Running has brought runners together, encouraged healthy lifestyles, and helped shape Jacksonville’s running community.

Founded in 1975 as the Jacksonville Track Club, JTC Running is a membership-based, volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting running and fitness throughout Northeast Florida.

In 1978, the organization created the Jacksonville River Run, which would become the Gate River Run. Today, the race is recognized as the largest 15K in the United States and has hosted the USATF 15K National Championships since 1994.

As the organization behind the Gate River Run, JTC Running continues its commitment to creating opportunities for runners of all ages and abilities.
