The Gate River Run will once again serve as the USA Track and Field 15K Championship and will offer a purse of $60,400 to the top men and women overall. Gate River Run has been the site of the championship since 1994. To compete in the championship an athlete is required to be a citizen of the United States and a member of USA Track and Field.  

 

Awards / Prize Structure:

USATF Championship medals and USATF Running Circuit points will be awarded to the top 10 men’s and women’s finishers.

Winners in the USA 15K Championship will be determined by first across the finish.

 

Bonuses:

Equalizer Bonus (First Male or Female): 

The elite women will start 5 minutes ahead of the elite men. The first person (male or female) to cross the finish line will receive a $5,000 bonus.

Other Awards

Florida First Coast Cup

$300, $200, and $100 will be paid to the top three local male and female athletes. Winners must be a resident of either Duval, St Johns, Clay, Nassau or Baker County for the six months prior to race day. Female First Coast Cup winners must start with the mass field and not early with the invited female elites. Winners will be determined on the first to cross the finish and not net time.

If you start with the invited female elite runners, you forgo your chance to win this award or prize money.

Master Awards

$300 , $200 and $100 will be paid to the top three masters (40 and over) male and female athletes.  Winners will be determined based on chip time.

Top 10% Hats

Custom hats will be handed out at the finish line to the top 10% of men and women finishers and not overall. Hats are awarded based on crossing the finish line and not chip time.

15K Age Group Awards
Awards will be give to the top three men and women overall in the following age divisions: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and Over. 

 The 5K will not have awards.

Medals will be awarded to all 15K and 5K finishers.
